Madaripur Shivchar Lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection. Shivchar Upazila lockdown in Madaripur has been announced to prevent the coronavirus. This lockdown will continue until the next announcement. However pharmacy raw materials and grocery stores will be open. This afternoon, the Shivchar Upazila administration made this public announcement.

UNO Md. Asaduzzaman said at an urgent press conference this afternoon, All shops and public transport will be closed to expect pharmacy raw materials and grocery stores in Shivchar Upazila to prevent transmissions of coronavirus in the country.

He also added, As Shivchar coronavirus is at risk, all businesses will be closed indefinitely from 7 pm on Thursday. Necessary consignment shops and pharmacies will be open. Particularly those returning abroad have to stay in their own house. If anyone does not maintain home quarantine, he will be taken to the official quarantine of Shivchar Nandakumar institution.

Health minister Zahid Malek informed at a press conference earlier this afternoon that Shibchar, Shariatpur, Madaripur lockdown would be done if needed. He added that more people came from any affected country in Shivchar and Madaripur districts. Monitoring has been done in these areas so lockdown will be done if necessary. The area was lockdown in the afternoon after the Health Minister’s statement.

There are some areas in the health minister’s press briefing to report that migrants abroad do not follow the instructions of the home Quarantine. If needed these areas will be lockdown.

In response to a question from reporters, Health ministers said, If needed Madaripur, Shariatpur, Faridpur will be lockdown.

Earlier, The Madaripur District Civil surgeon’s office informed the source, In Madaripur, 212 people have been instructed to stay at the home quarantine. Besides, two persons were kept at isolation in Dhaka.

Three people have been infected with the coronavirus in Bangladesh

According to Health Department data, 100 beds have been prepared in the new building of Madaripur Sadar Hospital to prevent the coronavirus.
